BA insurance for your event, party or wedding

BA event

Reasons enough to make every day a celebration. Are you the event organiser? Then don't forget to insure your liability so that the only thing you get from the champagne is a hangover.

What is a BA event?

You organise events ranging from weddings to neighbourhood parties. If something goes wrong and someone gets injured or damage occurs, people will quickly look to you as the organiser, the person ultimately responsible. This also entails risks. With the right liability insurance, you can protect yourself so that you can focus on a successful event with peace of mind.

Why a BA event?

Prevention is better than cure

Organising a party or event takes time, effort and money. As the organiser, make sure you don't incur any more unexpected costs, which can be very high. Organising an event without a civil liability insurer is almost unthinkable.

Volunteers are also often covered

Many policies automatically cover employees, assistants or volunteers.

One small incident can have major consequences.

A trip, a falling speaker or a loose cable can lead to a substantial claim for damages.

What does a BA event cover?

Consider the various possibilities carefully. It goes beyond just your liability.

Your liability: As an organiser, you are covered for both material and physical damage to third parties if your liability can be proven.

Personal accidents: If a participant or volunteer at the event is injured without your liability being compromised, additional safety net coverage can still be provided. This supplementary coverage provides compensation for medical expenses, permanent personal disability, and death of the victim.

Damage to the hall or rented marquee: If there is damage to the rented location after the event, the BA organiser will intervene in these costs if you have provided additional cover for this in accordance with the chosen intervention limits.

Legal aid: If you take out legal assistance cover in the BA organiser, you are also covered for legal disputes that may arise as a result of a claim relating to the event. An amicable settlement will first be sought. If this is not successful, you are entitled to choose your own solicitor to handle the dispute.

Frequently asked questions

Discover the most frequently asked questions about this insurance. Over the years, we have collected this information and summarise it here. Easy, right?

For all kinds of events: from private parties (such as weddings or birthdays) to public events such as street parties, sports competitions, trade fairs or charity events.

Many policies do, but it is important to ask explicitly. Sometimes they must be mentioned in the application.

Usually, a description of the event, location, date, expected number of visitors and any risks (such as bouncy castles, fireworks, etc.) is sufficient.

Damage to the rented location or to third-party property (such as rented equipment or infrastructure) may be covered by the BA Organiser, provided that you are held liable. Damage to your own equipment, on the other hand, is not covered, unless you take out an additional policy.

Force majeure, such as extreme weather conditions, is not automatically covered by standard civil liability insurance for organisers. For this, there is supplementary cancellation insurance, which covers costs incurred or loss of income in the event of cancellation for unforeseen reasons.
