How much does dog or cat insurance cost?
The premium depends on various factors, such as the age, breed and health of the animal. The type of cover you choose also plays a role.
Is there a limit to the compensation I can receive?
Yes, most insurance policies have a coverage limit based on the chosen formula. This can be a limit per year or per incident.
Is my pet too old for insurance?
It is often possible to take out insurance for older pets, but the premium may be higher and certain older conditions may not be covered. It is wise to start taking out insurance early, but there are still options for older animals (up to 7 years old).
Are existing conditions also covered?
No. Pre-existing conditions, i.e. illnesses or injuries that were already present before the start of the insurance, are generally excluded from cover.
Does every pet insurance policy offer unlimited consultations with the vet?
No. Not every insurer offers this. If you expect this, please be sure to inform our team when taking out the insurance.
